The company produces molybdenum at the Henderson molybdenum mine in Colorado, which is the largest primary producer of molybdenum in the world. In addition, it smelts and refines copper concentrates in Spain and markets the products through its subsidiary, Atlantic Copper. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, the company had 2008 revenue of about $17.8 billion and has about 29,300 employees. In February 2009, it raised $750 million in gross proceeds following the completion of an at-the-market offering of common stock.
